Experience the magic of photographing and observing the magnificent wild horses of Adobe Valley—an unforgettable adventure set in one of the most beautiful wild horse regions in the West.
The wild horses of Adobe Valley are descendants of horses once used by ranchers, miners, and homesteaders dating back to the mid-1800s. We will spend our time with these horses in their natural habitat, working in early morning and evening light for optimal photography opportunities.
Having visited wild horse herds throughout California, Nevada, and Oregon, Adobe Valley remains one of my favorite locations. Spring is an especially dynamic time to visit, offering chances to see mares with foals, stallions testing their strength, and bachelor bands honing their skills. You’ll come away with treasured images while also learning how you can help preserve the heritage of America’s wild horses.

New for 2026 – Unique Accommodations
This year we’ll be staying at the Historic Benton Hot Springs, located approximately 20 minutes from our shooting locations. This charming inn blends rustic elegance with modern comfort, featuring private outdoor hot tubs for each room.

A hearty breakfast served each morning. Benton has no full services, though two nearby gas stations offer limited supplies. Guests are encouraged to bring dinner items and lunch snacks for two nights. On our third night, I will host a group barbecue to celebrate our weekend together.
